Director of Communications

Kristina Burrus serves as the Director of Communications at THRIVE, where her passion for creativity meets her heart for community. She believes that the church is its people, and she finds great joy in helping everyone feel connected, like one big family. Whether through social media, photography, or creative storytelling, Kristina loves capturing and sharing the life and spirit of our church in ways that help others see, feel, and experience the THRIVE community.

Always eager to learn new tools and techniques, Kristina continually explores innovative ways to use digital platforms to invite others into the life of the church. She’s also the talent behind her own cupcake business, Rise Cupcakes, where her creativity extends from pixels to pastries!

Kristina is happily married to her husband, Matt, and together they have four children: Ryan and Josh (her stepchildren), and Camden and Carter. Her work is fueled by her love for people, her faith, and a desire to make everyone feel seen, known, and loved.
