Director of Worship

Matt Burrus is a gifted and passionate worship leader with a rich musical background. Classically trained in the upright bass, Matt has also been playing drums for over 25 years and is equally skilled on the guitar and vocals. Before stepping into his current role, Matt served as a youth pastor for more than 11 years in Central Pennsylvania. Today, he continues to invest in the next generation as a leader in THRIVE’s Student Ministry, where he mentors and empowers youth to lead worship boldly and authentically.

Matt is married to his wife Kristina, and together they share four children: Ryan (22) and Josh (21) Camden (8) and Carter (6). His heart beats for creating powerful worship experiences and raising up young leaders to passionately pursue God through music.
