Mission & Outreach

At THRIVE, we believe in being the hands and feet of Jesus—locally, nationally, and globally. Our Missions & Outreach ministry is committed to serving others through acts of compassion, generosity, and community partnership. Check out our current initiatives and find ways you can get involved.

Current Missions

  • HARRISBURG COLLECTION

Trying to simplify your life by letting go of things you no longer use in 2026? We’re collecting gently used items (new items are welcome too!) for the Allison Hill Community throughout the month of January. Please bring your donations to the Mission Table in the Gathering Space at THRIVE. Thank you for helping us share what we have and bless our community.

  • HELP OUR YOUNG ADULTS AND COLLEGE STUDENTS

Support THRIVE Students with Giant Gift Cards We’re continuing to collect Giant gift cards to help local students and recent graduates with transportation to school or work. Please place gift cards in the collection box and write the value on the card or attach a note.

  • Share a Smile This February

During the month of February, we invite members of our congregation—if you feel led—to help spread joy by making handmade cards for children in the hospital.

This mission project is sponsored by Caitlin’s Smiles, an organization dedicated to delivering smiles, hope, and encouragement to kids facing serious illness.

How to Participate
 • Create a handmade card for a child in the hospital
 • Simple, kid-friendly directions for making cards can be found here:
https://caitlins-smiles.org/our-services/homemade-cards/

Card Collection

For the next five Sundays, volunteers will be available at the Missions Table to:
 • Collect completed cards
 • Provide printed instruction sheets if you’d like guidance

Thank you for helping us share God’s love in a small but powerful way—one smile at a time.

A Message from Linda Armstrong

“I’m always blown away by the generosity and spirit I see in this community. Through your support, we’ve reached out locally—through our Day of Service, food and gift card drives, and care for students and fire victims; nationally—through CROPWALK; and globally—through Hope Walks and Operation Christmas Child. Let’s continue to walk humbly with God, serving wherever He leads. We serve an amazing God.”
