Rev. Dr. Stephen Gallaher lives in Mechanicsburg, PA and currently serves as the pastor 0f Thrive, a new church plant in New Cumberland. Stephen retired in May of ‘22 as Professor of Christian Ministries/Youth Ministry and Pastoral Leadership at Messiah University, He continues to serve as the Community Employee Pastor at Messiah and holds a professor emeritus status. As an ordained clergyperson for 48 years, Stephen has served four congregations within the Central Pa. region. He is the Founder/Ex. Dir. Emeritus of the Bishop’s Flock, Salt ‘n Light Youth Ministry, Inc. and Heartbeat Community Services, Inc.
In addition, Stephen taught youth ministry and practical theology at Evangelical Theological Seminary, the Russian Theological Seminary in Moscow, and for ten years at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C.
Stephen, along with his wife Anne, have three adult daughters who have blessed themwith six grandchildren. Stephen enjoys multiple outdoor pursuits and along with his brothers, maintains the family farm in Fulton County, PA.
